1st off...veterinarians are doctors for animals not military personnel who were in war...2nd ly if you served in a war, wouldn't you want people to know what it was like for you, & being a citizen of this country, if a Veteran wants to talk about War all the time, ( & if you care about this Person) you should listen intently! You never know when history will repeat itself, & knowing a lil about a veteran & what it was like for them in a war zone THEN, may be truly helpful later!

he wanted me to prepare my dog for summer
he went on and on about the war on fleas
