This question really hit home for me because I just came from a meeting at my daughter's residential treatment center, where I told my daughter that I wasn't going to visit her as frequently as I did the last time she was there. She's been in therapy since she was four, but she doesn't want to change her behavior. She runs away to live on the streets with her friends, does drugs, smokes cigarettes, and is promiscuous. In November she was sleeping in an abandoned warehouse when it caught fire. I welcomed her home after her long recovery, with an agreement that she was going to straighten up, but with a silent prediction that it wouldn't last much past her birthday, and I was right. A couple of weeks after her birthday, she took off again, this time with a 26 year old man whose wife had a restraining order against him. Several weeks later she called me wanting me to pick her up IN ANOTHER STATE, so I did, and had the police meet me to come get her at home. I have tried a thousand times to get her to settle down, and she refuses. I refuse to be the only one who cares about her health and safety, and she is safe where she is right now, so I'm just going to stop worrying about her and pay attention to her brothers right now. I can't stop caring, but I can stop trying so hard.

It's been almost a year, still sorta trying but am now beginning to stop caring. Life is too short to have to settle for less than what it takes to make you happy. If my happiness is not important to a guy, why waste my time?

I was doign push ups. I had intense pain in my back an dshoulders and I did 2 and stopped

lol, i stopp after so many tries it really depends on the personn and how much i care for them. bt the trth is i NEVER. stopp caring.....

everyone has a limit and when I hit that limit then it is a done deal pretty much. sometimes you have to hit the delete key.
