Disagree completely. Voyager was the most politically correct Star Trek, and that's about it. Nothing beat the original, because it WAS original and broke a lot of new ground. Sure, the special effects weren't in the budget, but they did alright with what they had. NG took some time to get started, but eventually moved on to new ideas.
In Voyager, I don't mind having a female Captain, but do they have to emphasise it by calling her Capt. Janeway? I don't mind a super smart black science officer. Dr Daestrom was better with computers than Mr Spock. But I guess they just had to let everyone know diversity exist on Vulcan too. They took a long time to find a spot for Nelix (when the true spot should have been off Voyager). 7 of 9 became the first TV sex object to have her face partially obscured so she would be though less of a sex object, right.

I totally think Voyager and Enterprise were the best of all the shows. I do not like DS9. The only good think off that show are the ferangi.

I prefer TNG - I didn't see a whole lot of any of the others. I watched Voyager for the first season maybe, and I enjoyed it, but I never got attached to the characters like I did on TNG. I watched the first episode of Enterprise and never watched again. The steamy shower scene turned me off to the show. Star Trek has never needed to resort to that kind of cheap thrill before. They've always been a clean and smart show. Without Rodenberry, is it really Trek??

i can see what youre getting at about voyager but i never really liked enterprise. i got it but what i didnt get was that the technolagy was too far advanced for the time it was set and whats with the silver enterprise its horibble but anyhow. my favarite has gotta be next gen it can get boring in places but it hade some of the best stories like "the lost enterprise" and "best of both worlds part 1&2" and my fave voyeger episode is "year in hell part 1&2"

Pirates of the Caribbean. I cherished the unique, yet i attempted to visual show unit the 2nd and it replaced into so excruciatingly uninteresting and formulaic till I became off the television and gathered a e book. however the main suitable Overexposure of one's Universe replaced into the Universe of Willy Jeff Clinton. He could have shared one and easily one "cigar" with Monica. And now, his doormat spouse is attempting to smoke a number of her very own. that's time the Clintons pass it returned to the Arkansas Galaxy.

not only did voy visit new territory and new species, it had a lot of other firsts, female captain, african american vulcan, african american/asian kiss, borg, emh...need i go on. voy seemed to fit the modern world and today's society. it really hit on alot of today's issues, though in a sci-fi way. i own all seasons and books and freely admit a rainy day will find me watching voy reruns.
