Do you think this would have happened if Congress had supported Bush from the word go.?

I feel that Ahmadinejad would not have done this if he knew the US as whole would not allow this. He has sensed the weakness in the Democratic Congress and that they will take no ACTION to stop him from obtaining nuclear weapons. If you disagree with me, tell me what the Democrats would do other that talking to deter Mahmoud from this thinking.

I think Iran would have gone ahead with their nuclear program no matter who was running the country. After what happened in Iraq they know that if the US tries to stop the Iranian nuclear program by using force the rest of the world will side with Iran. They will claim that they did not do anything to provoke an attack, and just like in Iraq the rest of the world will side with terrorist and not with the US.
