Black mollies and any other mollies are live bearers, which means they give birth to live fry (no eggs).

My Mollie had three live babies 5 days ago. The mother went under the castle and I was watching. After each birth she came up and swam around, then would go back and have another. All she had was three. I put the babies in a separate little box in the tank (if you don't they will get eaten). Go to Petsmart, they are about $4.00. It is very easy, just feed them and clean the box every few days. I am watching them grow.In fact she was pregnant when I bought her, cause all my mollies are female. (the male do have little ding,).

ALL mollies are livebearers, meaning they give birth to live fry (babies).
Hope this helps!

they give birth to live fry; theyre livebearers which also include platies, swordtails, and guppies plus other mollies. mollies are the most common and easy to breed livebearers second to guppies
hope this helps! :-)

The Black Molly is a livebearer that requires a spawning box in a 25 gallon, or larger breeding tank.
