If by "okay" you mean more socially acceptable, there is more pressure on women to be good-looking (an indicator of youth, and by extension, fertility), but I would say there is an equal pressure on men to be rich.
If by "okay" you mean healthy, it's not for either gender.
And I would say that most women are more attracted to guys of an average weight, and that we are guilty of rating them by hotness, too.

Look Women are the beautiful ones in the world so when we look at an women who is over weight it really is not good.
Women should be proud of their beauty and should maintain it. And why do you want to look bad.

It's opinionated... who said it was okay for a man to be overweight? It's not healthy for anyone to be overweight, but people think women are supposed to be attractive, I guess, while men just have to have a good personality.

Its not . I think you are wrong . We (the jerks I work with ) will give a man a hard time because if he is fat , he is lazy . ,,, We will give a woman the benifit of the doubt ( glandular or child birth )....... Don't let some of the morons on here form your judgement on all men
