PLEASE READ THIS AND SUGGEST WHAT THE THESIS SHOULD BE.
In Harper Lee’s novel to Kill a Mockingbird Scout Finch is the narrator and protagonist of the story. She narrates the story in first person, telling the readers what she hears and sees through her experiences. She is also known as Jean Louise Finch . At the beginning of the story set in the mid 1930s, Scout is an innocent five year old child who lives in the town of Maycomb, Alabama. Scout is the youngest in her family, living with her father Atticus, brother Jem, and the cooker Capurina. Throughout the beginning of the novel, Scout acts more of a tomboy by wearing overalls and learning how to climb trees rather than wearing dresses and learning manners. In this book Scout is a intelligent, confident, and a thoughtful character.

Well, I don't know that Scout is all that innocent. She is highly intelligent b/c her father treats both her and her brother like adults. I would try to illustrate the fact that she is wise/mature beyond her years...that thesis fits nicely with your three points to prove...
...Scout is AN intelligent, confident and thoughtful character.

you actually already have a thesis (and it just so happens to be your last sentence) "Scout is a intelligent, confident, and a thoughtful character" that's what the essay should be about. start it off as

Harper Lee created a very intelligent, confident, and thoughtul character in his novel "To Kill a Mockingbird." Jean Louise Finch, better know as Scout, was the narrator and protagonist of this story sent in the mid 1930's. Scout is an innocent five year old child living in the town of Maycomb, Alabama. The youngest in her family, she has three important people to look up to: her father Atticus, her brother Jem, and the cook Capurina.

After that use direct examples from the book to support her intelligence, confidence, and her thoughfulness. i haven't read the book in a very long time but i think i remember her being nice too boo radly...good luck. if you need more help let me know.

Um, I'm guessing you're writing an analysis of the book, right? Well, what is the moral, lesson, or sort of theme of the book? Thesis,(urgh, I had to have a thesis in a paper last year, can't remember what it is!) it's basically the main theme of a paper (I think). From what I read in that excerpt, it basically tells about how Scout grows up, and the pains, happiness, and knowledge you get as you grow and mature. Am I right? She starts as a tomboy, then as she matures and grows becomes more and more like a young lady. Hope this helps!

For a paper that has to conceal that many stuff (total e book: precis, characters, subject concerns, putting, author's form.. and so on) that's truly useful to contemplate a thesis sentence for each element. in basic terms in basic terms determine you employ paragraphs to very for sure separate the each element. undergo in strategies that a thesis is going to be your oppion on in spite of you're speaking approximately on your paper. a solid thesis is generally something that a English instructor seems for thus verify that that's obvious and properly thought out.
