Because unfortunately we've wasted too much political capital on Iraq. Neither the President domestically, nor the U.S. globally has the political backing it needs to stand up to Iran without clear and incontrovertible evidence that Iran is making nuclear weapons.
Understand though, I'm not making excuses for Iran...they have demonstrated themselves to be both unstable and untrustworthy time and time again, and my instincts tell me they are up to no good, again.

Yeah. The capture of British sailors in contested waters REALLY embarassed the US.
And as long as the US refuses to destroy their nuclear arsenal we are not in any position to rebuke other countries with similar aspirations.
Because guess what? It's too late. We (the US) have the bombs.

Ask those liberals that are failing to defend this country. Pelosi, Reid and the gang spend more time doing damage to the US image than promoting it. Pelosi going to the Syria and making a fool of herself fed fuel to the fire against this country. She should be prosecuted for violating laws against her action.
