80% of humanity, the religious folks, don't need to ask the meaning of life, the church tells them....the supernatural explanation. But the rest of us can't swallow religious dogma, because there's no evidence.

1. Life has no meaning
2. Life has a million meanings.

First, there's a certainty that death and annihilation awaits not only you, but the Earth in general. It's an astonomical certainty that our sun will supernova.

Second, the million things that give us meaning are the pleasurable experiences we can conjure up, in the form of the relationships we have with our kids and other people (for example).

So the bottom line is, we only have a temporary meaning to life, to reduce pain and increase pleasure, other than that everything is lost to oblivion.

To be or not to be? "To be" is temporary and "not to be" is inevitable.....

Life has as many meanings as the number people u know. 150 words are too few to summarize it. But since u require a summary, I put it as
Life is that u live
Life means what u believe
Life ends when u realize

There's plenty of life in the world. There are probably as many definitions for life as there are beings capable of rational thought. At it’s most basic level, life is the condition that distinguishes the organic from the inorganic. Some key indicators are; the ability to grow, the ability to reproduce and the ability to adapt to an environment. The most complex organism in my home is me. My most complex organ is my brain, which allows me to make associations based on prior experiences, and also to keep a record of the number of words typed. I mean, you want this to be 150 words, no more, no less. There are plenty of lesser organisms in my home, including my cat who demonstrates cognitive skills. Then there are all the worms in my worm farm. They break down organic material, converting it to fertilizer, which is also organic material.

The meaning of my own life would be hard to explain in 150 words, but the purpose of life as a whole is unknowable. Who is even to say that the true purpose of human existence is for our own interests, we could be pawns for a greater plan. You just have to have faith that God's intentions are good.

There is no God. It is complete ignorance to believe in the fiction of the Bible that was written by man a few thousand years ago with absolute no proof of a higher power who sits in the heavens and creates Universe's to observe and watch people suffer for his own entertainment. One thing is for sure if there is a God he is either extremely cruel or he doesn't exist at all.

The meaning of life is what you want it to mean. That answer is different for everybody. I would say in general its about leading a happy, full-filling life, surrounding yourself with those you love and make you happy. It's about experieces and learning new things every day.

well i think life is QUITE meaningless ... you work your whole life to develop a future ... only to die in your future. You buy nice things ( a nice house / a nice car / nice clothes ) ... yet you cant take ANY of this with you when you die ...

however, if you want a non depressing answer to your question ... i would say the meaning of life - is to live your life to the fullest - learn a lot - and have a lot of fun.
