MOST IMPORTANT!! never do it unprovoked, I would NEVER raise a hand to harm a female, but if you go after that area you cease to be a woman in my eyes, and many guys feel the same way.
If you are in danger it is highly effective, do it and run, if a guy has you scared...hasn't done anything yet but seems like he may and won't back off...try a quick knee, won't cause as much damage and will give you the chance to run.

if your life is in danger then I would any other time you should never do it. If you kick the guy bad enough you can cause serious medical problems and even death. NO to mention that the guy could press charges on you.

The pain is enough to bring you down gasping for air; some guys can pass out and vomit. Pain is an indication that that area shouldn't be hit; of course, only when you really need it.

Never, unless your life is in danger. Kicking someone in the groin can lead to infertility or even death. And it's illegal if you're not doing it in self-defense. You could be charged with assault.

If attacked, certainly! But if you are in no danger, that would be a very cruel thing to do. Not only is it extremely painful, but you can damage them for life and make them sterile.

the only time you can do that is if you know for a fact that you can run and he can't reach you. I honestly think if you kick a guy and he can get his hands around your neck he will stangle the life out of you.
