Pampers are the best. At first I used the Snugglers. The Newborn ones even have a cut-out for the umbilical cord. Then I used the Pampers Cruisers. They don't leak at all even all night. The Huggies leaked through the sides and up the back when my kids had bowel movements even though I changed them every two hours. Also the CVS brand is good.

Huggies and Luvs are very good. I don't like Pampers, and I think you'll find that most parents will agree with you, they just don't fit as well and they tend to leak. Huggies are the most expensive. Luvs are less expensive, and you can get a really fantastic deal if you match up coupons with a sale. I recently stocked up during one of those times and managed to get jumbo packs for $3 each. If I can't get a good deal on Luvs, I'll go with Parent's Choice brand. It's only sold at Wal-Mart, and they are really a lot cheaper. And they're not plastic-y like a lot of generics. They are just as absorbent as Huggies and Luvs, and they fit great. The only difference I can tell is that the Parent's Choice are a bit bulkier, especially between the legs. It doesn't make them less comforatble, just don't look quite as smooth under clothes.

What you should do is buy one package of every kind of diaper you can find, and figure out which you like better. Watch closely with the really generic plastic ones, they make a lot of babies break out in a rash.

I think that it somewhat depends on what you are having if its a boy or girl and how old. My son is 6 months old, i buy huggies hug flex... or cuddle weave. Why? It fits better, they stretch and fit over the top of his thighs the best. It doesnt go too loose or too tight cuz it stretches. The pampers flex work good too but i couldnt get the regular pampers to work. My sons feet and legs are always kickign so i needed soemthing that flexed. Also with a boy i found huggies were better cuz the diaper has to go up and over there "package" and then you can stretch the sides! You'll experiment and pick the best!

Well, this is totally up to your personal preference...however...

I only buy huggies for my kids. I tried pampers a few times and there really isn't anything wrong with them, I just prefer the way the huggies fit. Price wise they are pretty comparable.

We foolishly bought a pack of "Safeway brand" diapers once when they were on sale...every SINGLE diaper we used leaked!! lol it was a mess! We ended up buying a new box (of huggies) two days later and tossing the generic pack.

i've always used huggies and pampers to start with but switched to luvs later on. why? because of how they fit at the time. huggies i liked when they were newborns. pampers has some designed for crawlers that i liked alot. luvs just seemed to fit better once they started walking.

Everyone is different. I tried several brands and discovered that my sone broke out with every brand I tried other than Pampers.

I tried Huggies, Luvs and Giant Eagle brand.

Luvs was rated #1 in consumer reports, but many ppl say that they don't stretch as much as Huggies. So, I would suggest Huggies. I'm only 6 months with my 1st so I'm gonna try huggies at first. Good luck.

I am a Huggies lover. But in the beginning you can try the generic ones at Wal-Mart that come in a yellow pack with a ducky. They seem to do real well in the beginning, but as the amount of urine and BM increases I prefer Huggies. But one of mine I had to only use Huggies nothing else.

It's really about what works for you and your baby. My friend swears by Luvs, but they never have fit my daughter right. I adore Huggies, as they're pretty sturdy but stretchy, but they broke out another friend's kid, so she uses an off brand.

Experiment. Buy little boxes, or if you've got friends with kids, ask to try one of their diapers out. You'll find the best one for you eventually.

I HATED the Wal-Mart brands diapers. They all leaked. Besides that they gave my children rashes. The only store brand I found that worked alright was the Brooks Pharmacy Brand. I would reccommend Pampers.
