Watching Favre all these years(on and off the field), I've learned alot about the man and the player.

Man - Everything this man has endured in his personal life, he has taken in stride and overcame it.

Player - I remember him once saying something along the lines of, 'I'll play until I can't contribute any further.' He has reached that point. I'm seeing the once great, dominate QB trying to force too many passes, trying to do it all. I understand his passion for the game, but he also knows that he is hurting him team. I'm sorry, but Brett needs to heed his own advice.

they are both incorrect IMO. Favre replaced into admitedly a fool for retiring and then replacing his innovations a month later, notwithstanding the Packers is also "incorrect" in the journey that they run Favre out of city even as he nonetheless needs to play. With Favre, eco-friendly Bay replaced into one play faraway from the Superbowl very last 365 days in spite of everything. final analysis is that Favre continues to be arguably between the right 5 QBs contained in the NFL, and Aaron Rodgers isn't. If the Packers can come back between the finest QBs contained in the league for a million more advantageous 365 days, why turn him away? If eco-friendly Bay would not welcome Favre back, that's a lose-lose challenge - eco-friendly Bay is in simple terms no longer as solid with eco-friendly Aaron Rodgers at QB and Favre will finally end up both dropping his time as a backup or getting traded/released to play for a nasty team.

I have advice for Favre: retire and be quiet. Last year, Favre was saying how the Packers would go to the Super Bowl and win it all. He also said that last year was the best team he's ever played with. Don't get me wrong though, I think he's one of the greatest QB's to play and he's very tough. I'm tired of Favre playing because he throws too many interceptions.

One of the greatest QBs to ever play the game. He is second in all the major categories and will be a first round Hall of Famer. Whoever hates Favre is just jelous that their team didnt get a chance to bask in his glory.

The pack has NO team without him. He is "The Gunslinger" and is the toughest player in the leauge. What other QB would play a whole year with a broken thumb on the throwing hand?

old man that is preventing the packers from getting ready for the future. he's helping them now, but he is just delaying the need for Green Bay to fix up the team for the future. green bay looks pretty good now, but the second favre leaves, that team is going to fall apart only because he prevented the advancement the future players on that team

I have two:
-Toughness. His brother was killed in a ATV wreck, his father died, and his wife was diagnosed with breast cancer. Other people would have taken days, maybe even weeks off, but Favre didn't. Not to mention his consecutive start streak.
-Love of the game. He could've retired several years ago. He could've took one look at the youngest team in the NFL and bolted because he didn't want to lose. Why didn't he? Because he loves the game of football.

Anyone who says hes overrated obviously has not played over 200 games in the QB position at the NFL level.I dont think anyone could imagine the beating this man has taken. He to me, is what football should be.He loves the game with the innocence of a young boy and he plays with that in mind.Every time he plays he acts honored to be payed to do something he loves so much.

Hattiesburg. He has the most competitive mindset of anybody imaginable, but he has no help, and with a little bit less of the competitor and a little bit more self-preservation in his make-up, he'd be in Hattiesburg, not Green Bay, this fall.
