1. Don't play with matches!
2. Provide support to isolate the match from the cold bottom and allow air circulation. Some small peaces of crumbled paper should help.
3. make sure the bottle neck is not too narrow
4. make the egg shell a bit more flexible (he, he)
so cook the egg....and remove the shell

Have fun!

1. Put the oil, butter, or margarine around the inside of the mouth of the bottle.
2. Fold the paper to form an accordion.
3. Light one end of the paper, and drop it into the bottle.
4. Quickly place the egg onto the mouth of the bottle.
5. Presto!

Fire needs air in order to stay lit. Maybe heat the bottom of the bottle instead of putting the matches inside. I'm not too sure...

when you boiled the egg and got the skin off, light a match drop it in the bottle while it is burning then put the egg on the bottle.
and it's done.

I think you soak the egg in vinegar so the shell is softened then push it into the bottle
