They claim a "cure" when they force some one into a marriage and then show the world they have "cured" homosexuality. What they don't tell you is that the marriage is usually a sham since they people usually don't have sex at all or very little and they spend most of their time "praying" to not be turned back to the gay side. In other words thay are still gay, byt they have put on a false front for the church. And since the church is one big false front they are happy as clams.

No, it is not a disease. The churches and their leaders who claim to cure it are wrong. The most they can do is intimidate and ashame someone so much that they are driven back into living a lie in order to be accepted. This would be equal to a church claiming they can cure being black. "Just accept the word of God and you'll become white!! All it takes is the love of Christ!"

making use of hair dye as an occasion won't be a reliable decision. this is via the fact all coloration is stripped out of the hair earlier the dye is extra so, for this reason, the hair actually turns into the recent coloration. that's exactly what happens whilst someone accepts Jesus as his savior. His previous way of appearing, thinking, and feeling are stripped from him and new acts, strategies, and emotions are placed in him. The Holy Spirit enters him and he turns right into a thoroughly new person. "for this reason, if all and sundry is in Christ, he's a clean creation. The previous has surpassed directly to the total beyond; behold, the recent has come." (2 Corinthians 5:17)

No, that's a terrible thing to say. Homosexuality is part of your identity, not something cure-able. Many Churches look down upon gays as unholy, though that is cruel and not Christian. Homosexuality is not wrong in of itself, but Catholic teachings speak out against homosexual acts. You cannot decide if you are homosexual or not, but you can decide whether or not you get in a relationship with a member of the same sex. But homosexuality is not something that can be "cured." It might be possible to change it, but anyone that is homosexual is no different than anyone else. Other religions might have different standpoints, but I unfortunately do not know them.

Anything that the church doesn't console they deam it a disease or an abomination. Homosexuality isn't a disease and in so can't be cured its up the the people who live that way. I don't want to be cured even if it was Im content with my life.

It's not a disease. Actually it must've been the 50s or 60s when they stopped categorizing it as a mental illness because it was just a natural variant.

And those church cures don't work. They do negative reinforcement, and as soon as that's gone for a little while, you revert back.

So it only works for a short time, then you go right back.

Besides, being gay is normal, who would bother changing?

Whatever your sexuality, be that, be true to yourself.

Some churches think that they can cure anything except the bald head of the pastor. I do not take them seriously.

All I know about 'curing' what might be thought of as 'sexual immorality' is that God can do anything, but with me chose not to. What He has done is put me in places that I can not be a part of it. I can only claim that He worked that way with me.

But what God also did was use my weakness to preach His Gospel message. And so I do that. I. a Bisexual Christian, am completely sold to the idea of His salvation, and put my life in His cause. No matter what the Fundies might say.

When I was a kid the church tried to 'cure' me from being left-handed. They cannot admit that homosexuality is as much a part of the person as being blond or tall. These people that try to change the inevitable are the ones that need to be cured.

No they can't and No it's not a disease.

That said, you should be aware that there is a movement within the gay community to study the possibility of curing religious hatred within the Christian, Jewish and Muslim community since we know hatred is a disease. Hatred is a terrible affliction which attacks both the heart and the mind. Gays, always being on the forefront of helping fight the disease of hatred, are developing a new program which if successful, will finally rid the world of the scourge that is religious hatred. Won't you help?

No, Dearest, it isn't and nor can it be "cured" by a Church or a psychiatrist. More harm than good is done trying to "cure" a person (no matter what claims are made by any Fundermentalists). The Church would be better served to realize that their omniscient God (who knows/knew all) knew the measure of each of the Children before we came here. Bless us all (even the Trolls because they need it so badly)
