Yes, there are many ways to do this but you need to be smart and consult with a lawyer and have the LAWYER draft up a seperate agreement regarding how the house is to be owned by each party, and how the profits will be split, who is responsible for payments, ect. When both parties purchase the house and IF both are on legal title a nd unmarried, they are both liable for the others faults-this agreement will assist if any problems in the future regarding relationship/home ownership...Also one may be aable to qualify for the loan and the other can't so there is a lot to talk about and to PROFESSIONALY discuss and prepare while leaving out any close personal relationship trust, promises, ect. This is business not a love trust thing,,,,

Yes, you can.....but you may not really want to do that......You better look more at the Cons of this kind of agreement long before the pros......If you buy a house with someone and you aren't married....it still doesn't mean you have a committed relationship.....I wouldn't do it. I almost went down that road....He said that he would marry me.....but He bought the house and didn't marry me.....He said that he was too afraid.

Legally you can buy a house with anyone you want. It is risky to buy a house with someone that you are not married to though, because the marriage laws do not apply.

I would not recommend it, but if you are in a committed relationship that will last but not include marriage then you should be fine.

Take care,

Yes you can. Most people don't recommend it because if you break up it creates a very very ugle situation. If you still want to go ahead and buy the house sit down and discuss it with you partner what should happen if something does go wrong and so forth.

Yes, my husband and I purchased our house before we were married. Just make sure you want to stay with who ever you are buying the house with.

Yes, but my advise it to treat as a business deal and have both names on it.

I have had friends wanted to live together and bought a house, it didn't work out. Be very careful on doing this and be clear on what you each want.

Good luck.

Legally of course you can!! Its when you guys break up that will create the messy situation. that would invovle tons of court procedures and lawyers. And that isnt cheap. But most likely the judge would go with who pays the mortage and who has the loan if both of you dont.
