If you're constipated, try drinking a few small glasses of warm or hot water right in a row---that usually helps me if I'm having "trouble" on the toilet. Don't push too hard or you'll risk tearing or creating a hemmorhoid.

Try eating prunes or drinking some juice....

But, myself, I would consult with your midwife/physician right away...It could be a sign of toxemia, and be extremly dangerous to the baby. Better safe than sorry...but, I don't wish to make you worry...

Good luck...

try not to push and let your body do the work, you can develope hemmroids by doing that. You might also get them when you push out the baby.
