For some, marriage is just legitimate sex.

sometimes people grow out of love or is that no matter what they do it is not good enough. Or if 1 is not contributing and doing whatever they please and not taking care of home and rather be with their friends and not with their family and come home when they want and think that they are king sh*t and wanting everything to go their way and be treated like a king. And then it is presented to them they better ship up or ship out then they come to realize I'd better then it may be too late to salvage.Sometimes the other will stay for fear of being alone or comfort range.

Sometimes one or both party's aren't able or willing to fix it,that's why.Sometimes couples tend to lash out at one another because they feel hurt.Too many people give up because of the bad times. You know, no body's perfect.Everyone makes mistakes in their marriage,to some extent.That's why there are marriage counselors.

from someone who once pooped on her marraige it's because they had either a horrible example of a marraige, or they had alot of baggage coming into the marraige, or they were too messed up to be in a relationship. for me it was all the above! lol
but therapy, time and a new found wisdom the next marraige will have a fighting chance! =o)

People like some of my family members don't take the relationship between their spouse's and themselves seriously and in cases like these they should not even be together.

They are pushing the odds that it won't work. I don't crap on my relationship. A failed marriage was a good wake up call to my behavior.

People change,and there not willing to work things out,im lucky because my wife is also my best friend,and what ever we do,good,bad,or ugly,we do it together.

Because things get in the way .....and people change !
Things that get in the way......Working too many hours, money problems, kids (though we love them all ) , family probs and disputes....different friends......different sexual needs , lack of respect , different interests , opportunity....boredom.....and oh yeah .....opportunity !
