This just takes common sense. You should know WHY you have your period and what takes place physically when you do.

Vaginal bleeding is not always a period (menses).

A menstrual cycle (or period) is the process of shedding the lining of the uterus (endometrium). This process occurs about every 28 days. It may last 2 to 7 days and indicates that pregnancy has NOT occurred.

Bleeding during early pregnancy may signify the embryo has implanted, a tubal pregnancy, a threatened or missed abortion, or bleeding from the placenta. Bleeding that recurs throughout pregnancy may be the result of an abnormally implanted placenta (previa) or partial separation of the placenta.

I still had my period for like 3 months before I found out I was pregnant. I went for my first ultrasound and found out I was alot farther along then they thought. You may want to take a pregnancy test to make sure you're not pregnant. I hope this helps.

Nope! Having your period does not mean you are not pregnant. If you are having any symptoms, do a test!

I had my period in January 2005, and a lighter one in February, and then found out in March that I was almost 3 months pregnant!!! So, if in doubt - test!

Usually having your periods means your not pregnant. Ask yourself though, was this a normal period, lasting the same amount of days, how long is my cycle, what color is it. If you EVER have any doubts I'd ask my doctor.

Nope, some women contine to have a period while they are pregnant. To confirm that you are not pregnant, buy an at home test, or go in to the doctor.
