my son is a week an a day old he seems to push alot like if he needs to take a number two is there any thing i can buy over the couner at a drug store for like constipation because i think thats the problem or can he have someting else cuz he pushes to much that he cant sleep thank you

Babies that young have a hard time with gas. You can buy Mylacon drops, or Little Tummies. They sell these both over the counter in the baby aisle. Also make sure that baby is having a bowel movement every to every other day. If not, you may need to buy some suppositories to help out. Good Luck

Check the formula your child is on and make sure that it's the right one and if not change the formula this is the problem. Your child needs a soy base formula. It make a big difference in your babies digestive system. I think that this is the problem.

my baby has problems too. I called the doctor and they say its not uncommon for a baby to go 5 days without a bowel movement. You should call you dr. and ask him, you may have to switch formula.

make sure you are burping baby often. specially during his meals and call his doctor and talk to them about this
