Way, way past!
Those reasons cited below are on target...Second language, illiteracy, semi-literacy, etc.
But I detect many are young adults whose chance at a smooth education has been thwarted by indifference at home (parental guidance) and at school. No Child Left Behind ain't all it's cracked-up to be.
The proliferation of 'latch key' kids can't be expected to be 'self-starters' en masse.
It's both sad and scary to contemplate a future when the pool of qualified potential employees and leaders of the nation is steadily (read 'rapidly'!) diminishing.

Because people are retarded. A lot of people on here are kids that should be paying attention in school and doing homework, but are on the Internet instead. The Internet lingo has really reversed any proper English that is being learned. It's sad really, especially when all computers have spell check.

I agree with you completely. I have countless examples of text I wouldn't consider sending to the CEO of a Fortune 500 company. I have called a number of people on the subject. Normally I only do it if I feel like they are wasting my time.
Adding insult to injury I was reported a few times for being insulting. I suppose; like kidney stones, this too shall pass.
The real problem is we will have to support the illiterate members of society. They will be incapable of finding or keeping employment. In other words watch for tax increases.

i feel your pain. Some of the questions are SO hard to understand, i just assume that they have been written by someone whose second language is English. i try to interpret what they meant and answer as best i can. Oh, in case you were wondering about me not capitalizing my "i's", well, i do have a reason for that and i am aware that it is considered grammatically incorrect. Best wishes!

It could simply be a lack of knowledge.
Not all individuals consider these issues important because in this world of diversity, our "values" are very different.
For some, it's just another way of having fun.
Also, it could easily be a case of "don't know and don't care".
