It is wise to play safe so you don't get hurt

It depends on the situation. When driving a car down a major highway it is better to play it safe and not take risks. There is more then just your own life on the line and the purpose of driving is just to get between two places. No need for unnecessary risks.
But if you are playing a sport you need to take chances and go for the victory. That is the point of playing the sport. If your playing football someone on your team has to go for the touchdown. There is no point to playing if you are not going to try to win.
The same is true for most of life's challenges. You have to take some initiative and some risk to get anywhere. If you want a new job you have to put yourself out there and apply for job's and risk not being selected. it's just part of the deal.

In certain instances,yes I do think it's wise to play it safe. We just need to realize within ourselves when It's appropriate to take risks.Some risks aren't worth taking.

No. I live totally on the edge (sometimes closer to falling off than staying on) I think people who play it safe miss too much in life.

No, because different people have different defn. of safe. For example, I would only bunge jump from a liscenced operator.

most people who are successful wether in finances or other aspects of life took risks at some point I think too many people are afraid to take risks to improve their lives and are happy in a certian comfort zone, to get ahead one has to take a risk.
