This is not standardized. It just depends on how much stomach you actually gained. How much was "baby" and how much was you. If you breastfeed, that helps shrink it back faster. So there are a few deciding factors. USUALLY you are back normal by 6 to 8 weeks (if you didn't gain like 60 lbs during pregnancy).

Everyone is different. I just had a baby March 13 and I pumped breastmilk for the first 8 days and then decided to not breastfeed after all. Pumping and/or breastfeeding helps contract your uterus back down, therefore making your stomach go down. Honestly, by a week and a half, I was down to just a little pudgy. I didn't have a flat stomach before though and it's still a little "pudgy". I think if I would exercise, it would've gone down further.

It takes a few weeks, or even months to return to normal. It all depends on your body shape and whether or not you exercise and take good care of yourself. Don't be disappointed if you still look pregnant after the birth. Most of it is water weight, and if you eat sensibly and exercise, you will lose it all fairly quickly. I'm actually skinnier now than I was before I got pregnant. Breastfeeding helps, too! My baby just sucks down all those extra calories!

Mine took 9 months to go down, but the muscles were still loose and untone. Of course now I'm pregnant with my second baby, but I became pregnant exactly 11 months after my first child. It will probably take a full year before it goes away completely. Daily exercise helps a lot, especially crunches.

Both of my kids it seemed to take forever. The best thing that will help you out is either wrap it tight with an ace bandage, or go out and buy a girdle and wear it continuousely for a month, or however long it takes you. If you leave it be....it may take longer to go down depending on your body and how it reacts. Good luck

It'll take a while because sometimes your belly will go down or exercise more but if u had more than 4 kids it might take longer.

To tell you the truth, it can take a couple months. Also, withot excersixe it wouldnt ever get back to normal. It's a fact that you're hips get bigger....which makes your stomach look bigger. ALso, because your skin has stretched so much, even with excersize it is possible that your stomach will never be the same.

Yep, it's different for everyone. I will say however that right after birth......your belly feels SOOO weird! It's really loose, it's just weird to feel. You'll know what I mean when you have your baby. It took me about one week to look non preggo. Good Luck!

It depends.. Breast feeding will make it go down faster. Wait 6 weeks before starting any stomach excercises.
