So many cell activities require energy:
1. photosynthesis and cellular respiration
2. building proteins and other complex molecules
3. moving cilia and flagella
4. cell division for reproduction and development
5. cell growth

Everything a cell does requires energy (ATP). As I type this now, my skin cells are using energy to help me. I'm breathing, my organs (which are made up of tissues, which are mde up of cells) are using energy. Not only that, but Mitosis, you know replication of the cell?, ummmm...pretty much everything!!!

all...splitting...absorbing....that's what most of all cells do and all require use of energy.....and of course photosynthesis uses energy. All life activities are activities...and activities require movement even though it may be on the molecular level and movement emits energy.
