I'd answer this one "false."

I wouldn't really call it a waste product, though. Plants also do cellular respiration, in which oxygen is required.

False. Oxygen IS a waste product of photosynthesis. Oxygen is left over when photosynthesis breaks water molecules to keep the hydrogen ions and electrons. The oxygen from H2O is given off from the process.

don't know, "swamp thing" (creature) had nostrils, i don't know what those were for if he used photosynthesis
