Because there is a certain amount they are supposed to put on the sandwiches, unless someone asks for more.. And some of them are just really stingy with adding more onto the sandwich.. Especially if It's one of the managers making your sandwich.. Cuz they actually have to do inventory on all the vegetables, and if they are too short it comes out of their bonus. So they try to just be as cheap as possible... I personally when people would ask for more would load it on for them! ( My manager wrote me up for putting too many olives on a sandwich too!! Even though that's what they wanted!) Also, if they do only put a small amount extra, just tell them again that you want more until they do it to your liking!

Maybe they prefer to put less on and then have you ask for more because they are afraid if they give you too much then you may pick it off and throw it away of when you eat the sandwich all the toppings will fall out. I don't like how when I eat a foot-long at Subway's I am hungry 10 minutes later.

theere cheap, quiznos is chep too they cut the ends off their breads and throw the cut piece out into the trash, this way they can put less meat on ur sandwhich while still filling up the whole sandwhich. i always tell them to not cut the bread off i say i like the end piece, this way they have t oto give me more meat, and if they dont at least i got more bread than everyone else paying the same price, i like a tasty bargain

Ever since a large medical corporation bought out Subway. It has gotten a bit chintzy with it's toppings.I suppose it has to do with the fact they tout the food as diet, so if they put more toppings on- the calorie count goes up and then it's a "truth in advertising" violation.

The funniest thing I've seen at a Subway...
Some guy asked for light olives. The clerk tells him we only put on 3 olive slices as it is, would you like 1 or 2 slices?
3 Olive slices isn't even a whole olive.

Yes, they're very stingy with their toppings. Whenever I get a veggie sandwich I ask for each kind of cheese and they only give me a tiny slice for each kind of cheese. After I'm done with the sandwich I'm so hungry I could eat the paper they wrapped it in. I can see how that Jarrod guy lost so much weight eating subway.

Going to a subway that speaks English (like really good English, not Spanglish) enables the consumer to get wayy more toppings and more of what they want. Plus, the bill is done right, too. Idk maybe Subway tells their franchised restaurants to skimp on the toppings because they'll only get so many per week...whatever the reason, I don't need more meat--I need more toppings!

I worked at a subway in the past. We could only put on so much of the vegetables unless the customer requested more. In your case, it sounds like she didn't put hardly anything on and that is cheap.

That is one reason I don't go to Subway. They are cheap with the meat. Cheap with the toppings and it's not that good. Now - there is a sub sandwich restaurant that I love - It's called Jerzy Mikes'. They are the best...also Quizno's is pretty good. At Jersey Mike's you WATCH them slice your meat with their huge meat cutters and you can see how fresh everything is. They are generous with their portions.

I agree, Subway is cheap on their meat & toppings. They are way to expensive too. Your better off going to a regular sub shop, & getting way more for your money. I don't understand why they don't get alot of complaint's about this.
