The Goldfish is 8" long and the Shubunkin is only 2 1/2".
They've been together in the tank for about an hour and a half. The Goldfish is nudging the Shubunkin around the tank aggressively and nipping/sucking at it's tail and fins.

The Goldfish has been on its own in a different Aquarium for 3 years since it ate a comet.

I had to move the Goldfish into a new Aquarium 2 days ago and the place where I purchased the Shubunkin suggested moving objects in the tank around in order to confuse the Goldfish of it's territory but that distracted her for 5 minutes or so.

Is the Shubunkin going to die?

I feel its inevitable and would rather know so as to put it into another Aquarium and buy more same sized buddies.

They are just getting to know each other. Remember Shubs are a bit slower than regular gold fish so he isn't quite as quick as your goldie. Size really doesn't matter here since the shub isn't a fry. Give them time together. Also, do you know if you have a male and a female? Often times a male will investigate a new female added to the tank and visa versa. It has only been a little while, I would let them go.

Moving objects is a good idea to confuse the fish into thinking they have a new habitat.

No I don't believe your shub is going to die. Nudging isn't a threatening move for a gold fish.

I wouldn't expect the goldfish's behavior to last too much longer, he's just getting to know his new tank mate. As a rule goldfish are not at all aggressive and he shouldn't harrass the little guy for long, but that said there can be some goldfish with a mean streak. I would continue to watch them for a few days and if things don't calm down go ahead and move the Shubunkin.

Here's a little more info on the Shubunkin.

Just the size difference tells me there might be a problem. Since it is being aggressively attacked, it would be better to move it to another aquarium to protect it. If the shubunkin was added to the goldfish's tank, it has already established the entire tank as territory. Moving the rocks initially might give the shubunkin a chance to set up its own territory.

the goldfish is huge, and the shubunkin is tiny. it's the way of life. goldfish aren't generally aggresive, so maybe he will stop. but if not, the shubunkin will die.

Ps. you can use plexiglass to split the aqarium...
