my friend i would not do it. it is an internet scam. and you can get arrested for it. this actually happened to my friend the week of christmas this past year. he got a personal check that came in for him and as soon as he tried to deposit the check the cops where there already for him. they releases my friend on a 2k bail which some friends and i provided for him to be released. and they let him go under investigation. everything got solved in the time period of 2-3 weeks court and paper work , so on. they found his innocents and set him free but the 2k bail was not refunded. it was a similar incident but the guy was in new york and had this very deep african accent. but just to let you know there are alot of frauds going on in africa. i actually gotten a fax at work form some guy in africa saying that he will deposit money in to my bank account if i give him my account number. lolz the guys name was prof pascal ajala. no joke. but anyways try to stay away from those cons. it will get you in trouble like my friend.

Block him, and never IM him again.
Think about it - there are many, many services that handle international packages for people. They are reputable, insured, and professional. Why in the world would anyone, anywhere approach a stranger online to do it for them? It makes no sense. It clearly is a scam.

Report the scams and frauds to the companies that the scammers/fraudsters are pretending to be. But check the legitimate companies' pages first, they may already know about it and not want any more emails on that subject.

These Nigerians like to prey on innocent and naive Americans. I finally got tired of getting e-mails from them, and told one to go bother some stupid sucker in another country and leave us Americans alone, then I spammed him!
