the ball t seconds after it is thrown is given by
the formula h(t)=54t−12t2. How many
seconds after the ball is thrown will it return
to the ground?

h(t)=54t−12t2
When ball hits ground, h(t)=0
54t-12t^2=0
t(54-12t) = 0
12t = 54
t = 54/12 = 4.5 seconds
