I have to agree with MM here rocks don't float. They could be some form of compressed wood product or plant product, and without knowing exactly what it is, remove them. If he likes to play with little things, get a few floating no toxic ballsto bump around. At least you know what they are made of and won't cause harm to your fish.

Put some marbles instead or just regular gravel , maybe a small plant for decoration with no sharp edges.. Bettas love to rest in them.

not normal i have a betta and his rocks don't float. what you should do is go to pet smart and get gravel . as for him playing with them it's not too good for him to play with them but if you have a big enough tank you cna get something that has wholes big enough for him to swim in and play around with. i have a something like that in mine and he loves it i also have real plants. you should have real plants and a little thing for him to swim in and out of

As long as they are not hard or rough I think it is OK for you to have them and your fish likes to play with them too. But make sure they are not injuring your fish with sharp ends or rough surfaces. Bettas fins are very delicate and can tear easily. And I think it will be better if you just have ONE rock floating for him to play with in that way you won't be crowding his tank, he would have more space to swim and the danger of him running into rocks and hurting himself will lessen. But I repeat, make sure the rocks are smooth WITHOUT sharp ends and rough surfaces.

They definately aren't rocks. Were they from a pet store so you can be sure they aquarium safe? Bettas are bubblenest builders so even though he has no female there, he may blow a bubble nest under a floating object. Just be sure they are aquarium safe.

Unless they are very small and bubbles are holding them up, rocks don't float. I would suggest you get whatever that is out of the tank, it could be harmful.
