Are you referring to the cowards that were held for awhile and then treated as heroes at home and allowed to sell their stories for money, or the fact that the people didn't see anything wrong with their behavior??

Not at all, We have to think of the ramifications of going to another war in the middle east, especially with a country that is close to having nuclear capabilities. I think that the diplomatic response was best unless they harmed the hostages at which point a forceful resolution would have been warranted

How can the British be defeated when they're not even at war. The media circus is proof they have a free press.

Well, I would not go so far as to say defeated, I would say more wary. With the UN and having to protect their Common Wealth Countries, and having troops in Iraq and Afghanistan, I would say that they are probably strectched thin and need some time to build up a force just in case.

im pretty sure they were just trying to handle the situation Peacefully instead of going to war with iran. if iran wouldve refused to give back the captives then Britain wouldve had to use force.
