It's the system in which we live. It's designed that way. It's a sad fact that the people with money are usually BORN with it and as we all know, the best way to make more money is to have money in the first place! It's called capitalism. They claim that America is the land of oppoprtunity and that upward mobility is possible, but what they don't tell you is that someone who is born working class, will most likely stay there for the rest of their lives or else have to work harder than everyone else form a higher socio-economic standing. I have a BA in sociology from a good university and I struggle everyday just to pay off my student loans and to make a decent living. I work 70 hours a week in hopes of going to grad school eventually. Believe me, I feel your pain. What is sad in my case is that I KNOW why the system is unfair because of my degree and even though I have done everything right, I am stilll powerless to stop it!!!

Without sitting down and getting alot more information, finding an answer to the question is difficult. Unfairness has been with the world since mankind showed up. Capitalism is why some are richer than others. Wants and needs play a big part in anyone's life. Generally I have very few needs but more wants ( less the older I get).Choices we make early in life and on a daily basis, factor in on our expenses also.
However, socialism would make many of us equals, it would mean we would all be equally poor. There would be a very minuscule amount of people with money and power.

Maybe you should get a roomate to help split some of the bills.
People that are rich work a lot to get it. There's heirs, but they don't make money, they just spend it.
To get rich takes a lot of work, and a lot of hours, all towards that goal. They don't really make money in their sleep. Oh and a lot of their worth is usually tied up in company stock, so it's not liquid assets, as in hard cash.
As for sending money to other countries, it's because their poor people in poverty are living many many times worse than the people living in poverty in the Americas.

because a lot of people dont go to school and get their education and dont want to realize that in order to have succes, they must have a high standard of education. you can still go back to school, even if it is online. i am a 20 year old mother, married and have a 2 year old and one on the way and i attend school online since i am a stay at home mom while my husband goes and works and things are pretty good right now...i get my bachelors next year...just pray and you ca do it mom...dont worry about those people out there who are filthy rich and selfish. you are who you are so keep your head up and there are food stamp programs that you can apply for. i wanted to apply but was told my husband made too much money. just pray mom! may you be blessed in all that you do!

Your right, That sucks. Some people have built their fortunes, like Donald Trump. Some people just got lucky like Paris Hilton. We can't all be as smart as Donald Trump, nor as lucky as Paris Hilton, therefore, you should do the best with what you've got or strive to change your situation for the better. :)
