Is it OK that Laura killed her boyfriend with her car? These questions are ridiculous...it just seems that the right doesn't know as much about Laura killing her boyfriend as they do about Ted killing a girl with his car. Hmmmm....

then say you are angry because Kennedy has a problem with DRINKING. And that you are OK that Laura was in her right mind when she killed her boyfriend.

I publicly say that I forgive Bush for drunk driving, even though he was lucky enough to not kill anyone. And I forgive Laura for killing her boyfriend. There are NO such things as accidents. i am sure nobody meant to do it, but that doesn't mean that she didn't make a listake as well...even if it wasn't prosecutable...

I have absolutely no input on this question, but I do wish you a happy birthday! :)

PS There was a terrible road rage incident in my neck of the woods yesterday, and two beautiful young people were killed. Awful.

I was also ASSAULTED by a driver in a road rage incident, recently. He got our of his car and was banging on my car, and I called the cops.

So to the extent I have anything remotely relevant to say here, it would be to CALM DOWN, all! I get nasty too at times, but not like that.

The only connection is cars and death. But there it is.

I know both story's Laura Bush killed a man in an accident when she was 17 if I remember correctly she ran a stop sign. Ted Kennedy got hammered drove his car off a bridge and did not report it for 10 hours. While it is not fair to compare deaths it is in no way wrong to be more upset with the drunk driver than youthful poor driving. I am not excusing what Laura did but don't try and tell me it's the same thing as a drunk driver killing someone and not even reporting it. What I ask you is why are you mad at Bush but have no problem with Kennedy.

First of all you need to cover facts not rumors. It was not he boyfriend, just a classmate who dated a friend of Laura's he was in another vehicle where she ran the stop sign on a country road and did not know who she hit until she and a friend were in the hospital. This was before Laura knew the Bush family (she was only in HS) and thus the family had no influence over the case. She was questioned immediately by the police and she has never run for office so she is not under the same scrutiny of a US Senator who while married to another woman drunkenly drives off with another woman and then when the car plunges into the water does not go for help but waits till the next day after he is advised by family and campaign lawyers on what to do. Maybe a little bit of a difference unless you drink the Kennedy Kool Aid.

No I'm not,she was 17 years old at the time and was riding in a car another girl when she ran a stop sign. Probably inattentive chatting with her young passenger, happens all the time. The accident was witnessed by adults riding in a car behind her and even with their testimony no charges were ever filed,it was nothing more than a tragic accident ending in a fatality, one of over 42,000 highway deaths that year.

Ted was drunk, and drove off a bridge, then left the scene of the accident to "seek help". Later reported with this grandiose story about how he almost drowned swimming across one area because there was no ferry. Then took people back to the scene of the accident,an although reports show that there was a working phone in the area the accident still wasn't reported to authorities for another 10 hours,HUH??

So no,there is no comparison, think maybe that 10 hour gap was so he could sober up???

Oh please. No, it's not Okay that Laura Bush accidentally killed a classmate (no definitive proof that he was her boyfriend) by running a stop sign and causing a fatal car accident.

However, it was also NOT okay that Ted Kennedy caused a car accident in which a young woman was killed and then failed to report the accident to the proper authorities until the next day...and only AFTER the submerged car with Mary Jo's body inside had already been discovered.

i'm not sure if laura drove off a bridge and failed to not only try to save the person, but not even attempt to get help for two days because she was too drunk.

----

No, I'm saying one was an unfortunate automobile accident, and the other was avoidable on more than one level. The accident did not kill Teds girlfriend, Ted killed her when he walked away from it without trying to help.

If you would like to forgive everyones crimes for being drunk, I'd certainly like to see you do publicly say so.

Some people will grab at ANYTHING, even events that took place over 30 years ago, in an attempt to discredit the other side.

Well Laura is obviously a much better killer than Ted Kennedy.

She has 2 bodies The boyfriend that dumbed her for a cowgirl. And the head on traffic accident.

She is co owner of George's 600K body count. Guilty by association?!?!?!

Mary Jo was alive after the crash. Teddy let her die rather than call for help and let it be found out that he was drunk.

Both incidents were terrible accidents. Teddy could have changed the outcome after his accident, but didn't. He's a coward - that's the difference.
