Just got our new swimming pool installed. Anyone using BAQUACIL?

What has been your experience with BAQUACIL?
We just got our new pool installed last week. I will be filling it up and adding chemicals this week. I have purchased the BAQUACIL system. I used regular chlorine in my pool at my other house. At the pool store I was told about the advantages of Baquacil: no earaches, does not dry out your skin, will not fade bathing suits, less maintenance time, not as corrosive on the liner, etc. I know the Baquacil costs more, but if it really works better I dont care. Also, I have heard that after 2 or 3 years most people need to switch back to chlorine for a while.
I just wondered what people who have used this product thought of it? Did it work good for you or not? Thanks.

I've worked at a Pool & Spa store for 3 years now and I prefer Baquacil. As for the funny taste or smell, that usually happens when you add too much of the Sanitizer or too much Algicide. I have used Baquacil in my pool at home and have had no problems for the past 4 years. It's also much easier to maintain over winter...you just add the start-up dose when you're closing your pool then cover it. Since Baquacil only gets used when there are people in the pool (or leaves and other bacteria) there will still be Sanitizer when you open up your pool the following spring/summer. Good Luck! quite of attempting to get your dogs in a pool with all its chemical ingredients why do no longer you're taking the dogs swimming in actual water. Lakes and rivers are plenty greater helpful than swimming pools for you and your dogs. Pool chemical ingredients can burn your dogs's eyes and dry his dermis. It does an identical to you. The dogs can wade right into a lake at his own p.c.. and could be much less scared than the unexpected drop off on the sting of a pool. as quickly as you initiate swimming in a organic water source you will no longer want something to do with a pool.

I prefer Baquacil. It works as well as chlorine and I can open my eyes under water, I can't with chlorine. We play some games that involve surface diving after objects at the bottom of the pool. Believe me, it is easier when you can see!

I HATE Baquacil. It stinks, tastes funny and makes the water nasty. It burns my eyes too. As for sanitizing, give me chlorine there too, I've studied the chemical makeup and trust it far more.
