window sticker shows 31 miles per gallon. but the gas consumption of automobles has been inflated so bad the government has mandated a new formula be used.

My friend has one and to my understanding the window sticker is correct. But then as with any car it depends on weather, Hy or interstate, speed, or city driving. I have one car that will get 24 MPG at 80+ MPH or 30 MPG at 50 MPH so that can show you the differences of speed.

I have a friend who has a new 2007 Avalon with about 1000 miles on it. MPG so far is just over 21, driving in suburban Chicago. This is his third new Avalon in a row, the others being 2000 and 2003 models, which he leased and put about 50000 miles each on. He says his mpg will improve slightly as the car breaks in.
