No. Much like here, its not really about what the people want its about what the government wants. The Iraqi government requested troops to stay through the end of 07, they have to renew each year. That was authorized by the UN. So just like people here demonstrate against Bush, it really makes no difference he is still thier until 08, the same is true of Iraq.

Of course they want us out. No one likes to have their country occupied. That is a separate issue from: is Iraq ready to handle things without the coalition forces? The answer is no, and will be no for quite some time.

It's not about oppression. Why would our government, even the current not-so-great president, want to expend all this time and money, not to mention over 3000 lives, for "oppression"? That simply isn't the case.

They will accept our democracy, even if we have to force it upon them.

Our will shall be done.

It certainly appears to be that way. We've been told it would be a slam dunk, mission was accomplished and yet we are still there. Four years later we are still slam dunking our accomplished mission? Something doesn't make sense.

Republicans carry themselves with such "rank amateurism and swaggering arrogance" that they believe everyone wants what the US has and it is their God given right to enforce it on them. Whether they want it or not.
