A lot of cars come today with digital odometers. Is it possible to roll those back?

First of all the 5mph difference you noticed would be true at a certain speed, but is actually a variable. As your speed increases so the does the difference between the actual and displayed speed. If your speedometer says you are going faster than you really are than it is recording more miles than it the truck is actually traveling. Oversized tires should cause the speedometer to register slower than actual speed not faster.

yes it can be done but on GM cars you will be able to tell if the odometer has been tampered with by little silver lines going through the numbers.

Theoretically yes, but it would require re-programming the computer, and it's against federal law.

Yes, but you have to change the ECM or write to the computer to do it.
