I am black and personally don't think Imus is racist. But if we think he is racist we should listen to the Jersey Guys at nj1015.com. They are out of New Jersey and they are out of control.

I think he just likes to poke fun at a lot of people, he just needs to learn to control what comes out of his mouth.....

He was just trying to insult the women on that team. Personally, I had no idea that nappy hair was something only black people had. I wouldn't hesitate saying that some white person had nappy hair. I think he was just saying something intended to mean they didn't take care of their appearance or hygiene. And, I would take a huge leap and guess that Imus has about as much knowledge of black, female haircare as any male on this planet.

i don't understand if Imus is a racist or not. i've got confidence he's impolite, crude and uncivil. whilst i replaced into little, "Sticks and stones would smash my bones yet words won't in any respect harm me," replaced into worry-unfastened to hearken to. i've got confidence words have potential, yet only the potential given them. His employment is the only discretion of his company. i don't care if he has a job or not. What bothers me is the vehemence that's released whilst somebody says something that "offends" somebody. there's no regulation against somebody offending yet another, nor could there be. in case you doubt it, examine 1984. as lengthy as what's declared does not incite violence against yet another then the 1st replace applies: Congress shall make no regulation respecting an corporation of religion, or prohibiting the unfastened exercising thereof; or abridging the liberty of speech, or of the click; or the terrific of the folk peaceably to collect, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances. apart from, to engender a "sufferer mentality" of those indignant does not help concerns as an entire. i'm heavily afflicted via the "scarred for existence," assertion from between the bb-group. one in all those assertion lends potential to his words. i might have somewhat she stated, "I refuse to permit a guy whose speaks from lack of expertise and thoughtlessness to bog down my existence in any way in any respect!" Race kin in this u . s . a . at the instant are not aided via the likes of Al or Jessie. continually laying blame and insults is counterproductive. here returned all of it comes right down to a count of private decision. i'm going with to not hear to denigrating rap music (some i admire) nor do I hear to those of the ilk of Imus, or Stearns. Peace on earth!

You haven't heard Imus lately, have you? He's one of the most bigoted people around. He needs to be fired and get a job shoveling manure.

NO! He, like Howard Stern makes his living by being controversial. He was trying to be funny, not hateful.

I don't think we should take ourselves too seriously as a people.
