Dipoles in the physical science. I trying to find out

Here's a good wiki on it.

A dipole (electric or magnetic) is an arrangement of E- or B-fields with a positive and negative end. It has no net electric or magnetic charge (that would be a monopole), but it produces fields nonetheless.

I could write for a while on this, but I'll just leave it at that. Go read the wiki if you want more math and/or cool pictures.

Dipole is a body with a net charge of zero but has a charge distribution on it so that one part is positively charged and the other is negative. It can also refer to an antenna that has opposite voltage phases being fed to it.
