Do you also think it is ok to wear fur. I mean, personally you might be aginst it harming the animal, but at the same time, isn't it our right to wear fur?

What abour annorexia. It is bad for the body, but at the same time, it only hurts yourself so its ok to do it right?

I am not tring to be bias, but I use these exsamples in arguments and was curious about what people who were pro-choice really thought about it. Thank you

Well, I'm pro-choice.

I think it's ok to wear fur. If there are people that are willing to buy fur, then people should be allowed to sell it. See, in America, you don't have to ban things, if enough people stop buying something, than it will go away on it's own. You are also free to not participate or buy things that you don't support. No one is forced to wear fur, just like no one is forced to have an abortion. Really, the two have nothing to do with each other, and it's odd that you would bring it up.

Anorexia, last time I checked, is not illegal. It is classified as a mental disorder, but there are people that don't want to get help, and they shouldn't have it forced upon them. If someone wants to starve themselves to death, who am I to stand in their way? It's not anyone else's place to say what thay can to to their own body.

Abortion isn't anywhere near as harmful, emotionally or physically as anorexia is. For every one woman who regrets the decision, I bet you could find two who do not regret it, and in fact are glad, because they are now successful doctors/lawyers/CEO's/etc. and have wonderful families because they chose not to be saddled with an illigitamate kid at age 18.

And for those that are regretful, at least they had the choice. All of us must make tough decisions as a part of life, and we must all live with the decisions we make. That doesn't mean we should let others make those decisions for us. If you have all of your decisions made for you, is it really still your life?

Unfortunately, the anti-choice crowd that wants to outlaw abortion and everything else they deem wrong do not care about anyone's free will. They are more than happy to make your decisions for you, with no regard for what would be best for you. They would be content to tell you how and when to have sex, and with whom, when to procreate, what music is acceptable for you to listen to, what television programs you should watch and what books you should read.

No thank you.

Pro Choice

I am pro-choice, because as a mother myself I understand that life comes at a cost of tremendous resources, not only financial but also emotional, mental, and physical. Not every woman feels capable of paying that price, and since many women are poorly served by sex education and in society's lack of support, it is not my right to force her to pay it. The only way to get rid of abortion is to deal with the circumstances that render it necessary for the women who choose it, not to make it illegal.

I think it's okay to wear fur, and leather too, and I also eat meat. I am very comfortable with my inner predator.

Annorexia isn't a moral issue, it's a sign of a person who doesn't want to live. I'd be more concerned about why they do it rather than the fact that it happens.

sweetie, your question is trying to tie a bunch of issues together that have no connection to each other. I am pro choice. No i am not pro-anorexia, anorexia is a mental disease. I do not wear fur because i cannot afford it. Would i wear it if i was wealthier? I'll cross that bridge when i get to it. By the way, it seems to me that people who are not vegetarians have no right pretending to fight against wearing fur
So in summary, i am pro choice but that in no way connects to my other beliefs, it just means i am ALL for a woman's right to claim her body at all times and not be obligated to sacrifice it for another. Until men can get pregnant and bear children, honey, stay out of it

I'm not sure what the connection is between fur, anorexia and abortion. But I can give you my views on anorexia.

Anorexia is a form of slow-suicide. Except the person is not usually aiming to die, so that's really sad. Of course people who have anorexia don't usually realise how much their friends and family love them and don't know how sorry they would be if the person with anorexia died.

So with anorexia, it;s not OK just because the person is only harming themselves. Because they are harming themselves (even though really they don't want to) and their illness hurts their family.

Wearing fur is the choice of the fur wearer. If I choose not to wear it, that's my choice.

Anorexia is a mental disorder. That's a different category.

FYI- Just so you know, the 'pro choice' people I know are not fans of abortion. No one is.

The key is keeping abortion legal and safe.

Women will always get abortions. They always have (it's discussed in ancient history) and they always will.

So, if women are going to get abortions, I feel it's imperative they have a safe, legal way to do so. Otherwise, they will get illegal, unsafe abortions.

Making abortion illegal will not stop it from happening.

Think about it.

If people want to starve themselves, it is their right to do so. Fur is not illegal. People can wear it if they want. I wouldn't. It's too expensive.
