That sounds like some kind of old wives tale to me. But ask her what she meant by that. Maybe she is on to something.... or maybe she is nuts.

I've never heard of that and considering the mint in Mylanta and the rash on your baby it seems like it could be painful for the baby. Talk to your pediatriction and s/he will be able to help you figure out what is causing the rash.

I have never heard of this. My doc told me to use Mylanta on a bad diaper rash and it worked.

no, i dont think so. Mylanta can be a skin irritant. I wouldnt suggest putting that on my baby. If your baby has a rash use protrolium jelly and cloth diapers.

That's weird. Just get some Aquaphor. This stuff has cured everything from baby acne to diaper rash. Thank goodness for free samples because I never would have known otherwise. (most likely the rash is just from moisture- babies are sooo sensitive and sweet!)

My sister in law had to do that. Her daughter had a lot of stomach acid and that helped. I don't know how that would make you know what she is allergic to but sometimes the doctor tells you to do weird things. If you want to know what she is allergic to ask your doctor to test her. Good luck
