no more than three ounces at a time. make sure its not chlorine water or water containing heavy metals, such as lead, mercury, or cadmium. I would avoid giving tap water to an infant. I think its best to use distilled.

If the majority of your baby's diet is breast milk or formula, he will get enough "free water" from those sources. Even commercially prepared solid foods for infants have a high water content. Therefore, additional water is not always necessary. Water might be advantageous if your baby is on the heavy side. But if he is thin, too much water deprives him of some of the calories he needs.

Climate is also a factor. If it is hot, he will need some water to replace insensible water loss. Your baby's doctor is the best source of advice on these matters.

NONE. I would not give him any. When he is thirsty he needs formula to get the nutrients that he needs. If you insist then give him four ounces of bottled florinated water a day.

it's better that you ask the doc himself as we wont be able to tell you with certainty... if u give him too much that could be harmful and if less then also it's risky... just confirm with ur doctor dear
