Bad habits do not, in general, make people "bad"; it just means that they make decisions that they know are wrong for them but do it anyway. Maybe you could say "many bad habits" would make a bad person, because if you don't care enough about yourself to make changes, are you emotionally mature enough to care about others? But it sounds to me like you may be using your "bad habits" as a reason not to get close to others. "Habits" can be broken; some easily some with a lot of hard work. The key is to love yourself and do what is required to take care of yourself and if you accomplish that, you need not worry about your bad habits affecting others.

It depends on the habit I would think. I worked with a woman that smoked a lot. She was very polite about it though and always stayed away from me when she did smoke. She is a nice person with a bad habit. Some people bite their nails. i don't like to watch them do this but that doesn't make them a bad person. Some people drink alcohol or liquor in moderation but that doesn't make them a bad person. Drinking to excess can and does make some people a bad person. Doing illegal drugs can make them a bad person. I suppose it depends on the habits and the moderation of the habits.

Funny story: I was drinking a Root Beer and I asked my 8 year old, who had not seen a Root Beer before, if he wanted one. He said, ''No dad, drinking beer makes you stupid.'' ha ha - After telling him what Root Beer is he tried it but didn't like it.

I have a bad habit myself but I don't think of myself as a bad person. Sometimes I dip snuff, but I always spit in a dark bottle and I never do it in a closed in area like a car or a friends house.

Bad habits have a wide range and many, many people have them. Cussing is a bad habit, I do this as well, but I bridle my tongue around those who find it offensive. I think a bad habit has as much to do with the person and the habit. What can be offensive to some may not be to others. And we all know we have no right to judge someone else unless we are equally ready to be judged ourselves.

Bad habits do not make a person bad, but some bad people have bad habits.

It makes u human, but having bad habits that hurt people on purpose makes u a bad/evil person. Your intent is the difference between bad person and just a bad habit.

It largely depends on what the habit is. If a person has a habit of say ... insulting other people or cutting people off in traffic, I'd say yeah, they're a bad person. But, if someone has a bad habit of chewing their nails or smoking cigarettes ... then, no, that doesn't make them a bad person.

I do not think that bad habits make you a bad person. everyone has a bad habit or two, it is just something that you have to work on to correct. Don't let anyone tell you that you are bad person because of a bad habit! They have theirs also.

You did not say what your bad habits were. I think everyone has a bad habit. I wouldn't worry too much about them just yet. If people care about you they will accept your bad habits or help you overcome them.

I think habits can become your character so if you have an bad habit that could hurt somene else, you must change that habit. Anyway i don't think that one can have a bad habit that affects just to yourself, so i recommend you to replace your bad habits to a good one.

Id say, every one has to have a bad habit, were only human, like you say, as long as it doesn't hurt any one else, its OK. But its also a good idea to over come those habits.

Everyone has different nature..
It might be felt bad by others because of its contradictions with their own habit....
Unless you feel its a bad habit, there is nothing to worry about..
You tend to feel it as a bad habit only when it is hampers you or someone around you..
But,otherwise there is no problem with your habit nor attitude.....

Every person and most animals have bad habits whether it be eating too late at night or smoking cigarettes, and sometimes you can allow these habits define who you are, but they don't - seperate yourself from these ahbits so that this question is obsolete!
