during pregnancy,especially the first trimester, a hormone called the human chorionic gonadotropin is released by the corpus luteum of pregnency( it is the remnant of the ovarian follicle left in the ovary after the ejection of the ova in the abdominal cavity and persists if the ova gets fertilized for the 1st trimester of pregnancy).
this hormone,elevates the level of progesterone in the body which in consensus is thought to cause nausea. though the mechanism is not quite clear and still under research.
as for the eating habits there is a general increase in apetite as the growing foetus reqires nutrition.

Not all women are the same when they are expecting.I know some women who took a liking to hot and spicy,salty or sweet items..
As for vomiting,it is part of the 1st trimester. Eventually that would dissipate later down the months

This article discusses food cravings during pregnancy. Pretty interesting. I had to read it all once I scanned over it.
Personally, I had to have grapefruit during my pregnancies.

You mean vomit, right? ....
Nausea, sometimes occupied by vomiting, esp. the first trimester (morning sickness).
As for the sour food, i'm not quite sure, but there are different food craving for different women
