You need to drink some water and then lay on your back. Turn the tv off and count and time your contractions. If they are 5-7 mins. apart then you should go to the hospital immediately. If they are spuratic then you are having braxton hicks contractions. I too felt as if I was going into labor and it was the braxton hicks. They too can really hurt. Make sure you time them. If there is no kind of pattern then you should be ok. If there is a pattern then go to the hospital. Good luck and hope all is well

More than likely your experiencing Braxton Hicks contractions...basically these are "practice" contractions, to get your uterus prepared for true labor
Quote from americanbaby.com
What are Braxton Hicks contractions?
Braxton Hicks contractions can begin as early as the second trimester, however they are most common in the third trimester. The muscles of your uterus tighten for approximately 30 to 60 seconds or as long as 2 minutes. Braxton Hicks are also called “practice contractions” because they will prepare you for the real thing and you can practice the breathing exercises you are learning in your childbirth classes.

Only if there's bleeding should you worry. I had false contractions that didn't even hurt the last 2 weeks of my pregnancy and when I went to see the doctor I was nearly 4 centimeters dilated! So some hurt and some don't.

these are called Braxton Hicks contraction
they are perfectly normal.. it is your uterus exercising and getting ready for the baby to be born
you will feel them till the birth and they get stronger as time goes by.. at the end they will help the baby to get into the birth canal
unless they are accompanied by a gush of water, or blood, there is nothing to worry about.. you could mention them to your Dr on your next visit just to make sure.. but they are a perfectly normal part of pregnancy

Its probably your uterus stretching at this time in pregnancy. but as you get a little further along you may experience Braxton Hicks, but I believe (and this is just my opinion) that if you were experiencing real contractions you probably wouldnt even think about getting on the computer, LOL

I would say NO. I think it is your uterus stretching making room for your baby. Im 26 weeks so i kind of just passed what you are going through. Right now your baby is growing rapidly so that means your uterus has to grow with it, so it probably feels like your going to explode with all the tightness down there, but anyways your baby is just growing that is why it hurts!! NO WORRIES CONGRATS!!!!!!!!

It sounds liek braxton hicks. Try changin your activity level and drinkign a big glass fo water. If you are restign tehn go for a walk. If you are busy then try lying down. If this does not stop them within an hour, call your OB just to be sure.
