It should be Dirk because of his team success. But it will be Nash because all the voters love the Suns and technicly this is his best statistical season of the other two where he won the MVP.

This is a close one I think the four main Canidates would be; Shaq who's picked up the Heat in the absence of Dwane Wade and basically carried them but showing that dominance when he was with the Lakers. 2. Dirk- His team has the best record in the NBA and he is a great free throw shooter and comes up big for his team. 3. Steve Nash, who is the glue that holds his team together. 4. Kobe lets face it if it wasn't for his the Lakers wouldn't be anywhere in the playoff picture. I would have to give the slight edge to Nash over Kobe. Nash has come up big in huge games this year, he shares the ball and is the go to man when his team needs him. Definatly MVP

a lot of people pick Kobe because he is a fun player to watch.... but in reality this M.V.P. race is between Nash and Dirk..... I'll give the edge to Dirk cause the voters will not put Nash in the same group as Russell, Wilt, and Bird.. (the only players who won three straight MVP awards)

bulls **** steve nash is *** this year i ******* get tired of all ya dat say "kobe doesn't play team ball", and ya think dirk play team ball he only averages 3 assists per game, dirk has a team built around him kobe doesn't, and to still have your team in the 7th spot in the west. thats some crazy **** only 2 players on his team average over 10 points and 1 person over 15,besides him, so all ya people that think dirk is better than kobe look down and look at something there is a mark 2 straight white people to win the award the nba is trying to attract more white fans so the can get all the so called (moment of silence) ****** out of the league

Either Steve Nash or Gilbert Arenas. Kobe is just a ball hog who doesn't pass the ball. Nash is more generous with the ball so he deserves it move. Arenas can make clutch shots.

Nash should be the next MVP because he puts his team mates before himself. He makes everyone look good by being the leader that he his. Hes always willing to give up the ball without regret and gives hope to his fans every game.

Steve Nash i dont understand all of you that want kobe he is nothing if he trys to be a team player. yah he is good if he is a one man team but not when he has to pass. steve nash can do anything that you want he can win a game on a shot and he could also win a game on a pass. you tell me a time when kobe made a pass to win a game. ohh and steve nash can dunk it

Although Kobe is the most valuable player for their team because if he was wiped out, they would probably be the worst team in the league. I think that Dirk would get it since he has the best team but really it should be Kobe.

NO doubt in my mind it should T-Mac he has brought the rockets a team a few years ago were similar to the Trailblazers in Portland. Every night he plays his heart out and he has really of set Yao so he has more open shots.
