living on planets that are yet to be discovered which could support life, because there's more than 100,000,000,000 stars in our galaxy and there are billions of galaxies each with hundreds of billions of stars, so the sun can't be the only star with planets that have life. planets orbiting other stars have been discovered since 1995 but without life. extraterrestrial life can range from simple microorganisms to something way more advanced than us.

Yes, most certainly. The supposition that "we can't get from here to there" is based on our own anthropocentric view that we are alone. On the contrary Drake's 1961 equation is based on logic that some, perhaps many, have achieved the ability of space travel. To presuppose that our mathmatics and technology will explain why they can't come here is pure myopia and arrogance. Even Carl Sagan one of the chief debunkers of the ET hypothesis candidly said that in all likelyhood extraterrestrials have visited this planet a million years ago! Now logic dictates that if ET was here a million years ago then how many more might be visiting us now?
Even the Roman Catholic Church has come forward with their acclimation program called "The Fingerprints of God" to best explain the ET hypothesis. The church's spokesman and harbringer for the existence of extraterrestrials is Monsignor Corrado Balducci. The Vatican has been well aware of this phenomona for centuries and even has gone so far to form the Vatican Intelligence Service to deal with this issue of non-disclosure until such time the public is willing and ready to accept this "subject" of the ages.
What is often thrown about is the tired statement that we don't have any evidence of contact. Yes, we do! It is more accurate to state that "you" do not have the evidence! This does not mean there is no evidence. The late astronomer and consultant to Blue Book Dr, J Allan Hynek was often confronted with the question "where's the evidence?" Hynek would reply "Where do you want me to back up the truck?!" In other words "absence of evidence is not evidence of absence." Why? Because this subject is rated higher in classification than the H-Bomb. It is highly compartmentalized on a "need to know" basis for those who have a "need to know!" So many whistleblowers in the intelligence community, civilian & military pilots, astronauts, government officials, astronomers, military personel from all the branches, Military Industrial employees and religous leaders have come forward and gave testimony to this reality that we are not alone and are being visited not by just one, but several extraterrestrial races! The coverup is in the camoflage and the camoflage is in the coverup as the late Phillip Corso would say when involved at the Pentagon with this issue. Corso, was the gentleman that seeded our Military Industrial sectors with crashed Alien hardware that later seeped into our high technology industries. I could go on and on with this issue. However in closing, before you make up your mind on the ET phenomona, go out and be good detectives and search for yourself and find the answers needed to give an informed opinion. I'll guarantee that if and when you do, a whole new reality will come screaming back at you.

As to the question off weather or not alien life exists in the known universe, I would have to say yes. The chances of our earth being the only planet to fall under the stipulations required to attain life is very slim to say the least. It has been calculated that there is probably 11,000,000 planets in our known universe capable of sustaining life either as we know it, or as some other form of based life such as Silicate lifeforms.

Its quite possible that there are aliens out there. The universe is mind boggling big and to make a general statement that there is no other life out there is just arrogant.
Right now there is no proof either way for evidence of aliens.

Maybe. Probably. By we have no evidence of it. None are visiting Earth for example. Stories you may have heard about UFOs or aliens secretly living on Earth are all false.
