Most do, the closer you are to Arkansas it gets worse. I don't because I have lived all over.

Depends on where you are at. I grew up in St. Louis & the general accent there is very similar to a Chicago accent. My parents were from extreme south-central MO (about 5 miles from the Arkansas border) and I spent a lot of time there. All my friends in St. Louis said I had a southern accent. I now live in Arkansas, and everyone thinks I have a northern accent.

Not the deep southern accent you would find in Mississippi, but there is a noticible accent in some parts of southern Missouri and Illinois. And it is NOT a midwestern accent.

I can't speak for the entire population, but a LOT of them do. I went to college in Iowa and the accent starts in southern IA and just gets stronger the farther south you go. A lot of my friends from MO didn't believe me when I said they had an accent! But it's not like a deep southern drawl.

Yes, Missourian's typically have a Southern accent, though obviously not as strongly as somebody from Georgia or Alabama.

yes they do, and further down the bootheel and in and around the ozarks it's thick.
i've been here for a bit over 10 years, and i'm starting to sound like i have a southern accent too.
(edit: during the civil war, the lower half of Missouri was considered "southern"..for those that think that it's not.)
