He wrote a book called "De la Terre a la Lune" ("From the Earth to the Moon"), first published in 1865, which became reality when the United States (notwithstanding Fox News) sent men and rockets to the Moon just over 100 years later.

Jules Verne also wrote "Around the World in 80 Days," but that became reality within 20 years when a New York reporter named Nellie Bly went around the world in 76 days.
