I wonder how many would-be cheats would rather just be home with a wife who was sweet and accommodating rather than out finding another woman to cheat with.

Pam...actually I only wear my crotchless pantaloons in the winter under my skirts to keep warm. In the summer I don't wear anything under there. By the way...my husband loves me and doesn't cheat.

The best that could be said is that it might work in some cases. Some guys 'cheat' (idiotic word) just because they're horny and need to satisfy that drive - and so if their primary partner were available they'd 'use' her.
I say 'use' to emphasise something about this whole matter: the instinctive drive that compels men to want to shag anything with a pulse is different from that which motivates sex inside a relationship. It feels different, and it is - because the two impulses evolved for different purposes.
Humans behave as they do in large part because they're descended from ancestors that did the same thing, and survived. Which probably means that their instinct-driven behaviour - including their sex drive - was shaped over millions of years *because it worked*. In men's case they will have a strongly-bonded primary relationship with a partner, but will also be driven to try to have sex with anyone else they're attracted to. 'Driven,' but they won't necessarily act on it - especially nowadays when doing so has been elevated to a crime similar to murder.
If our ancestors had sex with everyone they fancied (who fancied them back at least enough) then they tended to have lots of offspring - and they out-bred those who didn't have the impulse. We're the descendents of those who had the instinct, because the others died out.
When that instinct is stimulated in men, it's a strong one. Some guys deal with it, uh, manually. Some are too terrified of being caught. Others can't resist the temptation. Go figure: some people can't resist chocolate, even though it's probably not good for them. *Most* men will succumb a few times in their lives, and usually get away with it. And be in no doubt that *most* women will also be tempted and give in to it a few times, too: the test figures show it clearly.
It's not a man- or woman-thing; it's biology and genetics. We're built that way.
If you think it's better to be used as a substitute receptacle, go for it. You're not alone. I happen to think freedom, honesty and trust are more important to the relationship than what my partner does with her genitalia - but that's just me.

I think half the time that's true. Circumstances that drive men out of the house are usually because the man cannot communicate. But maybe the woman can't either.

Yes men cheat for self gratification, while women cheat for sentimental reasons my husband doesnt talk to me anymore type stuff, while most men cheat because they enjoy the thrill of experiencing new women moans, screams, touches, and flat out just for the sex.

Being with your wife is soooo much better. You know the playground well. Yes there is somthing about cheating that we all have women and men that is exciting. The ones who cheat are not real men nor real women, yes they are living and breathing but are just low in morals and lack of respect for family.

Their being available is a two way street, these guys work their butts off trying to get a girl in bed, but wont put a bit of effort into charming or romancing their wives at home, I think they would discover that she would be available much more oftne if they would just try a little.
