any professional swimmers out there who can advise me before i buy? i'm looking to really improve my hand strokes in swimming and i'm caught between buying the regular plastic hand paddle or is the glove kind much more effective? thanks :)

I would go with the plastic hand paddles. The gloves can soak up water and make your hand much more heavy, which can bother your shoulder on your recovery. Also, I've found the plastic paddles last forever. Make sure to get some that have holes in them, it will help give you a better feel of the water. Hope this helps you out!

Paddles are the best option. They provide the most resistence and are the most durable. Also they don't irritate your hand like the gloves can.

Tyr Mentor and Speedo power Paddle are my choices.

the regualar hard paddle because it creates more resistance, which makes your pull stronger and that they last longer more durable
